How reviews will be done: At the top I will include my original prompt, followed by mentions of any editing and/or reprompts done. I will note how many tries it took to get it to say what I want it to say, how useful I think it might be to marketing copywriters, and my final thoughts on that particular AI-assisted copywriting machine before sharing the completed version generated by the LLM.

Original prompt: Write me a brief review about using Gemini AI for marketing copywriters. It should follow the following format, with a focus on how marketing copywriters in the B2C and B2B space can use Gemini to speed up workflows. Use a positive, conciliatory tone.
  • Name of AI
  • Model last updated until when
  • Pricing tiers available
  • Best used for what types of marketing collateral
  • Who might best utilize it
Editing done: Reprompted mainly for the pricing tiers - had to refine this three times before it remembered there was a Ultra tier.

Notes: Gemini, unlike other AI, has a draft system in its answers. I often cycle through these drafts as they are sometimes quite different in both tone and content - not to say the LLM gets it wrong, but more of emphasizing different components during the content generation phase. However, it follows on the tone of the last draft you chose, so your answers will follow the draft you had on screen when you added new prompts.

Here's what it looks like when I asked it for SEO keywords for the below review:

Screenshot of Gemini's draft system, where you can select different drafts to see how your message can be crafted.

It gave me some pretty good keyword suggestions, and broke it down into several categories, including Target Audiences, Specific Product Features and General keywords.  If I wanted to, I could validate the result by pressing the Google logo at the end of the answer, but I shall not in this case.

That Google shortcut, by the way, has been invaluable in my use case - I use it to ask Google to explain how some of my client's products function and it has done a pretty damn good job of explaining how a specific range of products work, who it's for, and how users can get started on the project.

And with that shortcut, I can press on the highlighted areas in the answer to find the original source and see if Gemini is telling the truth or making things up.

Overall, Google Gemini more useful in the content creation workflow as a tool to see what everyone else is doing, since it's very dialled in to the million and one articles about best practices on creating specific marketing content items (first, this is a Google product we're talking about, and second, it's SEO stuff).

Best used for: Creating templates and layouts for those who want to know what's "best practices" now and how to utilize it in their works.

And here is the answer to the prompt above:
